What Happened

We covered quite a few fast fixes for your pc at this meeting. Stuff like how to speed up searches on your XP machine, shorten up your boot time by delaying the start up items so that they make less of an impact your resources, adding more memory for all round performance enhancement, and other items that you can look at if you want to download the PowerPoint presentation. ( Fast Fixes for your pc.ppt )

I did bring the old van to the meeting and I did haul all the stuff to York County’s Computer Recycling Day. The next one will be in July.

What’s gonna happen?

If Microsoft gets the Release Candidate for Windows 7 published, I’ll bring in a machine and we’ll see what it looks like.

Where's It Gonna’ Happin?

We meet at Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church on Harpersville Road in Newport News. Our doors are always open to new members and visitors, too. Meetings are held each month at 10:00 AM on the second Saturday. Discussions are lively and provide useful information on how to get the most out of your computer hardware and software. Please join us for our next meeting. Guests are always welcomed. Bring a friend along the next time so you can both share the unique experiences at our meetings.

Our “start-up” group meeting for those new to computers and Windows meets an hour prior to the monthly meeting. If you need additional information or encouragement; please call me at 898-1679 or 898-3855.
