WHAT HAPPENED
You should have been there. Microsoft sent along another box of goodies for us to hand out as door prizes and we had some mighty happy early Christmas presents. I gave a rundown of some new and interesting items that you might have put on your Christmas Gift List. You can see what I talked about in my Media Notes article in the December 2002 issue of the Umbrella. (http://umbrella.exis.net/0212/med0212.htm)
Another bunch of Microsoft stuff will be available for our January meeting. Bring a friend. We’ll talk about what we got for Christmas. Me, you ask. Well, I got the neatest digital camera, a Kodak LS443. I’ll show it off along with its software. Bring along what you got, too
WHERE’S IT GONNA’ HAPPEN?
We meet in the Computer Lab at Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church on Harpersville Road in Newport News. Our doors are always open to new members and visitors, too. Meetings are held each month at 10:00 AM on the second Saturday. Discussions are lively and provide useful information on how to get the most out of your computer hardware and software. Please join us for our next meeting. Guests are always welcomed. Bring a friend along the next time so you can both share the unique experiences at our meetings.
Our “start-up” group meeting for those new to computers and Windows meets an hour prior to the monthly meeting. If you need additional information or encouragement; please call me at 898-1679 or 898-3855.
